Junior Translator / Interpreter (Non-Key Expert)

About the role

NTU International is seeking a Junior Translator / Interpreter to join its pool of Non‑Key Experts for a 36‑month EU policy communication project covering North Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf. The successful candidate will provide translation and interpretation support on a short‑term, on‑demand basis, helping to increase the visibility and impact of EU initiatives in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Translate communication materials, reports, publications, presentations and other institutional documents.
• Provide interpretation services during meetings, workshops, conferences, webinars and stakeholder consultations.
• Ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency and cultural appropriateness of all translated content.
• Support the preparation and review of multilingual communication materials.
• Collaborate with communication teams to deliver clear messaging to target audiences.
• Assist with terminology management and maintain consistency across project documentation.
• Facilitate multilingual communication during project events and outreach activities.

Required profile

• Degree in translation, interpretation or an equivalent qualification.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in the target language and fluent English.
• Minimum two years of general translation/interpretation experience.
• At least one year of experience with communication or institutional content.
