K2 Developer

About the role

The K2 Developer will design, build, configure and maintain enterprise‑grade business process applications using the K2 product suite (K2 Five, K2 Cloud, Nintex Automation). Working closely with business analysts and IT teams, you will transform manual or fragmented workflows into automated digital solutions that improve efficiency, governance and system connectivity.

Key responsibilities

• Model complex business processes into functional K2 workflows, using advanced rules, inline functions and conditional routing.
• Develop responsive Smart Forms with custom views, controls, validation rules and expressions.
• Create reusable Smart Objects to integrate K2 applications with external databases or SaaS platforms.
• Integrate K2 workflows with enterprise systems such as SharePoint, SAP, Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics via REST/SOAP services and custom Service Brokers.
• Write and optimise SQL Server database components (stored procedures, views, triggers) that support K2 processes.
• Extend the K2 platform with custom .NET/C# code, custom assembly brokers or Smart Forms controls when out‑of‑the‑box features are insufficient.
• Administer the K2 environment, troubleshoot failed instances, manage package deployments and tune performance of Smart Object queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related quantitative field.
• 5–7 years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on business process management.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience designing and deploying applications on K2 Five or K2 Cloud.
• Proven experience integrating K2 with at least two enterprise platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Oracle, SAP).
• Relevant certifications such as K2 Five Core Developer, Nintex/K2 Certified Specialist or Microsoft Azure Developer Associate.

• K2 product suite (Designer, Smart Objects, Smart Forms, Workflow, Management, Workspace)
• Microsoft SQL Server and advanced T‑SQL (stored procedures, views, triggers)
• .NET / C# development
• HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript for custom Smart Forms controls
• REST and SOAP API integration
• Experience with SharePoint, SAP, Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics integration
