KS2 Teacher – British Curriculum Primary

About the role

Awfaz Global School, a British‑style institution with three campuses in Doha, is seeking a passionate KS2 Teacher to join its primary department from August 2026. The role involves delivering the British Curriculum to Key Stage 2 learners and contributing to a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the British Curriculum for KS2 students.
• Create a safe, positive classroom atmosphere that promotes wellbeing and academic progress.
• Assess, monitor and track student achievement, providing timely feedback.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
• Maintain effective classroom management and encourage respectful behaviour.
• Collaborate with colleagues, coordinators and school leadership on curriculum development and school initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding progress, behaviour and wellbeing.
• Participate in school events, meetings, duties and professional development.
• Support pastoral care and the overall development of students.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching primary students within the British Curriculum, preferably at Key Stage 2.
• Strong understanding of primary teaching methodologies, assessment and classroom management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the British National Curriculum for Key Stage 2.
• Effective lesson planning and delivery techniques.
• Student assessment and progress tracking.
• Classroom management strategies.
