Landscape Architect

About the role

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Landscape Architect to join its Qatar team. You will play a pivotal role in designing, supervising, and delivering large‑scale landscape projects, with a focus on high‑end commercial and urban environments in arid climates.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and supervision of landscape works, including plant selection, irrigation, lighting, and hard/softscape elements.
• Review drawings, specifications, and shop drawings for constructability, code compliance, and project alignment.
• Interpret complex contract documents and provide technical input on plant suitability for arid terrain.
• Contribute to urban landscape and public realm design, especially high‑end commercial streetscapes.
• Supervise construction to ensure quality, design intent, and compliance with standards.
• Prepare reports, design submissions, and conceptual illustration documents.
• Utilize advanced digital tools for design development, visualization, and documentation.
• Identify potential design or construction issues and propose practical solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience on large‑scale landscape projects covering both design and construction.
• Strong knowledge of codes and standards related to landscape design, plant material, irrigation, lighting, and hard/softscape works.
• Proven ability to interpret complex contract documents and review technical drawings.
• Experience designing for arid climates and supervising urban, high‑end commercial landscapes.
