Languages Teacher (Spanish & French)

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Languages Teacher to deliver high‑quality Spanish and French instruction to students from Grades 6 through 12 in an international school setting. The successful candidate will inspire linguistic proficiency, intercultural understanding and academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Spanish across Grades 6–12, including High School Diploma and IB Diploma Programme.
• Teach French to lower secondary students (Grades 6–8).
• Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons that develop communication skills, intercultural understanding and linguistic proficiency.
• Set high expectations, use effective assessment strategies and differentiate instruction for diverse learners, including EAL and high‑ability students.
• Contribute to curriculum development, schemes of work and departmental resources.
• Foster a respectful, positive learning environment and communicate regularly with parents about student progress.
• Participate in extracurricular and cultural activities and uphold safeguarding, health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in education or languages with a valid teaching certification meeting Qatar MOEHE requirements.
• Minimum three years of experience teaching Spanish at secondary level, preferably with High School Diploma, IB or A‑Level programmes.
• Ability to teach French to lower secondary students.
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of modern language pedagogy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in an international or multicultural school environment is preferred.
