Large Area Maintenance Shelter Specialist

About the role

The Large Area Maintenance Shelter (LAMS) Specialist supports KBR's AFCAP V group by setting up, maintaining, and dismantling large‑area maintenance shelters for U.S. Air Force operations in Qatar and the wider Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, install, operate, maintain, repair, and dispose of LAMS/BEAR structures and related systems.
• Read and follow manufacturers’ operation and maintenance manuals.
• Lead and supervise personnel as required.
• Schedule and coordinate equipment, materials, and staff for shelter activities.
• Erect, maintain, and dismantle shelters while ensuring safety standards.
• Manage inventory, storage, and upkeep of tools and equipment.
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshoot shelter‑related issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance actions, equipment status, and incidents.

Required profile

• Willingness to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including extreme temperatures, dust, noise, and chemicals.
• Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting (up to 35 lb, team lifts up to 50 lb) and other physical tasks.
• Compliance with all safety regulations and use of personal protective equipment.
• Readiness to travel frequently within the Middle East and operate in wartime or contingency settings.
