Laser & Light Designer

About the role

We are looking for a creative Laser & Light Designer to turn immersive concepts into live shows for festivals, corporate activations, government events and cultural exhibitions. Based in Doha, you will work from the initial brief through design, programming and on‑site execution, ensuring spectacular laser, lighting and projection experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design and program laser shows using Pangolin BEYOND and FB4, including beam shows, audience scanning and laser‑mapped graphics.
• Create and operate projection‑mapping content with TouchDesigner, Resolume Arena and disguise media servers for stages, building facades and other surfaces.
• Program lighting fixtures using grandMA3 for concerts, corporate stages, immersive installations and architectural projects.
• Collaborate with creative directors, technical producers and content designers from concept through delivery.
• Supervise installation, alignment, calibration and safety compliance on site.
• Operate shows live, troubleshoot under pressure and maintain equipment inventory.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in at least two of laser design, lighting design or projection mapping.
• Strong portfolio of live events, installations or shows.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and event load‑in/load‑out schedules.

Required skills

• Pangolin BEYOND and FB4 interfaces
• grandMA3 lighting console
• TouchDesigner, Resolume Arena and disguise media server platforms
• Knowledge of laser safety standards (IEC 60825) and rigging safety
• Reading CAD plans, light plots and projection studies
• Experience with KVANT laser systems, Barco projectors, Notch, Unreal Engine or Unity (nice to have)
