Laundry Manager

About the role

The Laundry Manager oversees daily laundry operations for a hotel, ensuring linen for guest rooms and the Food & Beverage department is washed, dried, ironed, and delivered on time. The role focuses on maintaining a safe, clean environment while meeting guest and employee satisfaction targets and supporting the department’s financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day laundry operations, quality standards, and workflow to meet hotel expectations.
• Supervise and schedule laundry staff, covering duties in their absence when needed.
• Enforce safety procedures, monitor compliance, and address safety concerns.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, operating statements, and payroll reports for the department.
• Order and control supplies, uniforms, and equipment within budget limits.
• Collaborate with Engineering for equipment maintenance and handle breakdowns.
• Participate in departmental meetings, communicate goals, and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement new techniques, supplies, and equipment to enhance efficiency.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in laundry, housekeeping, or a related hospitality area.
• Proven ability to manage a team and oversee operational budgets.
• Strong understanding of safety standards and equipment maintenance.
