Laundry Team Leader

About the role

The Laundry Team Leader ensures flight linen is packed to Qatar Airways standards and ready for dispatch. You will lead a team handling linen for QR, other airlines, Amiri flights, and crew trainings while managing documentation and operational changes.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate junior team members into sub‑teams, create shift work plans and brief them on updates.
• Monitor linen stock, request materials, and ensure proper recycling to minimise waste.
• Handle inventory for other airlines, support aircraft and service changes, and maintain accurate handover records.
• Guarantee high‑quality linen packing, maintain hygiene standards, and prevent foreign objects in linen items.

Required profile

• High school, vocational qualification, diploma or bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in airline or catering laundry operations.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and communicate via wireless radio.

Required skills

• Specialised knowledge of different types of linen and textiles used in the airline industry.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with GLP (Galley Loading Plan) and linen packing procedures.
• Competence in operating wireless radio equipment.
