Lead Estimator – Industrial Kitchen Projects

About the role

Elegancia Kitchens is seeking a Lead Estimator to head the estimation and tendering function for mid‑to large‑scale industrial and commercial kitchen projects across Qatar and the GCC. The role involves preparing competitive cost proposals, coordinating with suppliers and internal teams, and ensuring timely, accurate tender submissions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for industrial and commercial kitchen projects.
• Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, BOQs and client requirements.
• Prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals for hotels, restaurants, central kitchens and other F&B facilities.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors and internal departments to obtain pricing, technical data and delivery schedules.
• Conduct quantity take‑offs, cost breakdowns and analysis of equipment schedules, kitchen layouts and MEP coordination.
• Identify risks, exclusions, assumptions and value‑engineering opportunities during estimation.
• Maintain pricing databases, supplier quotations and historical project data.
• Support negotiations with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Mentor junior estimators and tendering staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in estimation, tendering or commercial roles.
• At least 5 years of experience in the GCC market.
• Proven background with industrial kitchen equipment, commercial kitchen supplies or food‑service equipment projects.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work with reputable kitchen equipment providers.
