About the role

AJ+ is seeking a Lead Executive Producer to head its English news newsroom. The role will drive daily editorial output across social and digital platforms, shaping audience‑first storytelling for a global digital audience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily editorial planning, assignments, and execution of the news budget.
• Oversee all newsroom output across video, visual, and multimedia formats.
• Provide final editorial review and sign‑off on content.
• Drive agile workflows to respond to breaking news and platform demands.
• Champion innovative, platform‑native storytelling formats.
• Translate audience insights into actionable editorial strategies.
• Develop and mentor newsroom talent, ensuring continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Creative, Audience Development, and Editorial teams to optimise delivery.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in a digital‑first newsroom environment.
• Strong editorial judgment and experience managing high‑volume output.
• Deep understanding of social platforms and audience engagement strategies.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams in complex, fast‑paced organisations.
• Track record of delivering innovative, impactful storytelling.
