Lead Project Engineer - Retail Fit-Outs

About the role

This role leads the design and construction coordination for retail and F&B store fit-outs. It covers communication between brands and designers, site supervision, procurement and payments, and preparation of bills of quantities.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate project information to brand designers and coordinators, including As-Built Drawings, LOD, Design Manuals/Guidelines and other documents, so designs match site conditions and LL standards.
• Receive drawings from brand designers and coordinators, coordinating with brand managers, LL, public authorities and MEP consultants, and assist in construction permits and launch of on-site works.
• Receive materials on site, monitor storage and warehousing, and carry out quantity take-offs for final account settlement.
• Approve payments and verify quantities, ensuring proper final settlement and handling the defect liability period.
• Guide and monitor daily work, ensuring compliance with quality, safety and security standards, and supervise snag lists and handover to retail management.
• Receive quotes for minor works, manage material procurement and delivery with the procurement department, and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) from received designs and reference to previous projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• Six to eight years of experience in retail/F&B store fit-outs or a similar role; MEP experience is a plus.
• Three years of managerial experience.
• Fluency in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Project scheduling tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
