Lecturer – Humanities

About the role

The College of General Education invites applications for a Lecturer in Humanities. The position involves planning, developing and delivering interdisciplinary courses with a focus on social analysis, Qatar history, Islamic culture, human development, public policy and related fields.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and deliver interdisciplinary courses in humanities and related applied fields.
• Evaluate student progress and manage learning‑environment resources.
• Participate in cross‑college collaboration initiatives and industry advisory committees.
• Coordinate, manage and control projects within the specified program area.
• Maintain course portfolio documents for program review and accreditation.
• Engage in instructional development and new program development.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Sociology, History, Political Science, International Relations, Gulf Studies, Public Policy or a related applied field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum three years of full‑time teaching experience in upper secondary, post‑secondary or higher education.
• Demonstrated ability to use a variety of educational technology and platforms.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Strong academic and information‑literacy skills.
