Lecturer – Information Technology

About the role

The College of Computing and Information Technology at UDST seeks a Lecturer in Information Technology to deliver high‑quality, innovative teaching and support the college’s mission. The role involves developing, delivering, and evaluating a broad range of IT courses while engaging with industry and academic partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and assess courses such as Computer Architecture, Assembly Language, Network Fundamentals, Database Management Systems, and Cloud Computing.
• Evaluate student progress and manage learning‑environment resources.
• Liaise with industry and other educational institutions, participate in advisory committees, and coordinate projects within the program area.
• Maintain accreditation documentation and contribute to professional and community activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a closely related field from an internationally recognized university.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience in post‑secondary, adult, or industry training environments.
• Demonstrated leadership in building engagement with professional and industry partners.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
• Professional certification in Computing and IT and a diploma in education are preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Computer Architecture and Assembly Language.
• Proficiency in Network Fundamentals.
• Experience with Database Management Systems.
• Understanding of Cloud Computing concepts and platforms.
• High digital literacy and ability to create technology‑enriched learning environments.
