Licensed Aircraft Engineer – B1 – Light Maintenance

About the role

Qatar Airways is recruiting a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1) for Light Maintenance in Doha. The role involves delivering aircraft maintenance activities to support flight operations, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient aircraft performance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute assigned maintenance activities in line with Qatar Airways and customer procedures.
• Review work procedures, propose improvements, and ensure final release of work meets company and customer standards.
• Supervise a team of mechanics or technical assistants, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluation.
• Maintain aircraft or component serviceability standards to meet schedule requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a diploma/trade qualification in aircraft maintenance.
• Hold a full Qatar Airways main fleet ICAO/QCAA certification.
• For internal applicants, minimum 1 year of aircraft certifying experience as EN.01.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of air legislation.
• Ability to determine and select appropriate tools and equipment for tasks.
• Proficiency in using mathematics to solve technical problems.
• Experience in controlling operations of equipment or systems.
