Licensed Aircraft Engineer – IFE Maintenance

About the role

The Licensed Aircraft Engineer – IFE Maintenance is responsible for delivering aircraft maintenance activities that directly support flight‑operations checks. The role ensures safe, effective and efficient operation of aircraft systems in line with Qatar Airways procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute assigned maintenance tasks efficiently, using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Review work procedures, propose improvements, and ensure final release of work meets company and customer standards.
• Provide technical solutions to problems within authority and maintain aircraft/serviceability standards.
• Guide and train technicians and mechanics, supervising workmanship and quality.
• Support internal and external customers and perform additional department duties as directed.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Aircraft Maintenance/Engineering (B.Eng., BSc or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years of aircraft certifying experience as EN.00.
• Hold a full QR main‑fleet ICAO/QCAA licence and approvals.
• Possess a heavy‑vehicle driving licence and be able to arrange required equipment.

Required skills

• Aircraft Maintenance Licence (ICAO/QCAA).
• Heavy‑vehicle driving licence.
• Aircraft certification experience (EN.00).
• Proficiency with maintenance tools and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems and IFE components.
• Ability to apply mathematics to solve technical problems.
• Control and operation of maintenance equipment and systems.
