Lifeguard

About the role

The Lifeguard position at AMWAJ Group of Companies is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Qatar. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of guests and staff in pool and aquatic areas, acting quickly to prevent and respond to emergencies while upholding the company’s high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor pools and aquatic zones continuously to detect unsafe situations.
• Supervise swimmers, enforce safety rules, and intervene when necessary.
• Perform water rescues and administer first aid or CPR according to protocol.
• Inspect, maintain, and report on safety equipment and pool facilities.
• Identify and report hazards, supporting overall cleanliness and organization of pool areas.
• Collaborate with other staff to deliver a safe and pleasant guest experience.

Required profile

• Strong swimming ability and proven water‑safety skills.
• Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized body.
• Current first aid and CPR certification.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures and rescue techniques.
• Excellent observation, communication, and conflict‑management abilities.
• Capacity to stay alert for long periods, work outdoors in varying weather, and act swiftly under pressure.
• Previous lifeguard or similar safety‑focused experience is an advantage.
• Basic proficiency in English; additional languages used in Qatar are beneficial.
• Commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards with a customer‑focused, team‑oriented mindset.
