Lifting Operations Trainer

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lifting Operations Trainer with strong technical expertise in lifting operations, industrial inspection, and compliance with international standards. The successful candidate will deliver professional training programmes, supervise trainees, support inspection activities and contribute to business development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver technical training programmes on lifting equipment and procedures.
• Supervise trainees and trainers during classroom and field sessions.
• Review and approve inspection procedures and training materials.
• Verify non‑conformities, approve corrective actions and ensure compliance with international codes.
• Identify business opportunities and coordinate with internal departments to expand training services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 10 years experience, or Diploma/HND in Engineering with 12 years experience.
• LEEA‑approved trainer or equivalent qualification accepted by QatarEnergy LNG.
• Completion of mandatory LEEA Foundation Programme (Level 1) covering lifting gear, crane structures, lifting machines, overhead & mobile cranes, and offshore containers.
• Extensive knowledge of international lifting equipment codes and standards (LOLER, BS 7121, ASME B30, ISO).

Required skills

• Report writing and computer applications.
• Proficiency in English communication; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
• Inspection and training techniques specific to lifting operations.
