Localization Team Lead – Manage Translation & Moderation Teams

About the role

Snoonu, Qatar’s home‑grown Super App, is looking for a results‑driven Localization Team Lead to oversee translation and moderation operations across multiple markets. You will lead a diverse team of translators, moderators and onboarding associates, ensuring high‑quality output, SLA compliance and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a team of localization specialists across several markets.
• Monitor daily inflows, workload distribution and team capacity to meet SLA targets.
• Track productivity, quality and operational KPIs, taking corrective actions when needed.
• Identify bottlenecks, operational risks and capacity constraints, and implement solutions.
• Conduct coaching sessions, performance reviews and career development plans.
• Collaborate with Quality and Training teams to improve translation accuracy and moderation standards.
• Serve as primary point of contact for business stakeholders, providing regular operational updates.
• Escalate system, workflow and process issues to Product and Tech teams.
• Drive process‑optimization initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality and turnaround times.
• Analyze operational trends and recommend actions for scalability.
• Support new market launches, process rollouts and change‑management initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Languages, Linguistics or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in localization, translation, content operations or moderation.
• 1–2 years of experience leading teams in a production or operations environment.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic.
• Strong people‑management, stakeholder‑management and analytical skills.
• Experience managing outsourced teams and regional operations is highly preferred.
• Background in e‑commerce, marketplace or catalog operations is a plus.
