Loss Prevention Officer

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer safeguards the Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara’s assets, guests, and staff by preventing theft, sabotage, and other security incidents. You will work closely with the Property Loss Prevention team and local law enforcement to maintain a safe environment.

Key responsibilities

• Guard and protect hotel property, parking areas, documentation, and equipment from unauthorized access or theft.
• Develop, maintain, and document training plans for security personnel, ensuring certification records are up‑to‑date.
• Respond to security alarms, intrusion detection systems, fire protection systems, and other emergency alerts promptly.
• Collaborate with corporate security, law‑enforcement agencies, and emergency responders during incidents.
• Assist in investigations of losses, thefts, employee misconduct, and other security‑related events, producing detailed incident reports.
• Support large events and festivals by providing security coverage and maintaining evidence integrity.
• Monitor building and car‑park alarm systems (gas, fire, HVAC) and report unusual occurrences.

Required profile

• Strong judgment and common‑sense decision‑making in security situations.
• Ability to follow and enforce Property Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
• Excellent documentation skills for training records and incident reports.
• Willingness to work closely with law‑enforcement and emergency response teams.
