Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor leads a technical team of foremen and technicians to ensure efficient execution of all maintenance work orders at Qatar Fabrication Company’s Ras Laffan site. The role focuses on strict compliance with the SAP PM plan, accurate data entry, and rapid resolution of equipment failures across a wide range of plant and workshop assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and motivate a team of maintenance foremen and technicians, providing technical guidance and fostering continuous improvement.
• Oversee maintenance of fixed, portable and mobile equipment, including CNC machines, PLC‑based systems, hydraulic units, welding, blasting and painting equipment.
• Manage upkeep of material‑handling assets such as forklifts, MEWPs, air compressors, generators and all workshop utilities.
• Supervise maintenance of lifting and transportation equipment, including overhead cranes, portal JIB cranes, mobile cranes, shipyard transporters and self‑propelled modular transporters.
• Ensure all work orders are completed safely, on time and in accordance with quality standards, SAP PM procedures and QFAB’s QHSES requirements.
• Facilitate safety processes such as toolbox talks, permit‑to‑work, energy isolation and HIT‑card compliance.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Engineer for quality measurement, precision tools usage and technical assistance.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising maintenance teams in an industrial or fabrication environment.
• Strong knowledge of plant equipment, mechanical utilities and safety regulations.
• Ability to interpret and execute SAP PM work orders accurately.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with a focus on minimizing equipment downtime.
