Maintenance Technician – Facilities (Doha)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Maintenance Technician to join our facilities team in Doha. The role involves responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines; carry necessary equipment.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies.
• Report daily activities and issues to subsequent shifts using approved communication methods.
• Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and thorough cleanup.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components, plumbing fixtures, HVAC filters, lighting, and guestroom items.
• Program televisions, perform general housekeeping, and manage engineering inventory.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Enter air‑handler schedules and adjust temperature settings using basic computer skills.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, and energy‑conservation practices.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 50 lb unaided; heavier items with assistance.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and adherence to safety, security, and company policies.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑service mindset.
