Manager IT – Airport Operations Support

About the role

The Manager IT – Airport Operations Support leads the 24/7 support of mission‑critical airport systems, ensuring they remain highly available, stable, performant and secure. The role owns the full service lifecycle, from incident handling to continuous improvement and new‑system onboarding.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end support of Airport Operations systems, meeting SLAs and performance targets.
• Lead incident, major incident and problem management, including root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Manage change, release and configuration processes to minimise disruption.
• Oversee integrations, patches, minor enhancements and system upgrades.
• Monitor service KPIs (availability, MTTR, backlog, user satisfaction) and drive improvements.
• Conduct service reviews, ensure smooth transition of new solutions to BAU, and maintain documentation.
• Act as escalation point for critical issues, manage vendors, contracts and support SLAs.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 20000 (IT Service Management) and ISO 27001 (Information Security) frameworks.
• Maintain disaster recovery, business continuity and cybersecurity coordination.
• Lead a 24/7 IT support team, set priorities, coach staff and plan succession.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of IT application/platform support experience.
• At least 5 years of experience leading teams and delivering large IT programmes.
• Experience with airport systems such as AODB, BHS or terminal operations platforms.
• Proven experience in 24/7 operational environments.
