Manager Landside Operations

About the role

The Manager Landside Operations leads all landside activities at the airport, ensuring seamless operation of public‑transport services and parking facilities. The role provides strategic direction, develops business solutions for car parks, taxis, water taxis, buses, metros and car‑rental services, and aligns these services with national transport policies and airport growth plans.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement transportation and parking strategies that support MATAR and HIA strategic objectives.
• Conduct market research and customer‑service surveys to improve passenger and staff satisfaction.
• Coordinate with the Ministry of Transport & Communication to align airport transport policies with Qatar’s national vision.
• Lead the development of SOPs for car parks and all transportation‑related procedures.
• Collaborate with Facilities & Operations, Strategy, and Expansion teams to deliver end‑to‑end car‑park and traffic‑management plans, especially for major events.
• Monitor logistics planning concepts on the ground, ensuring safe and correct implementation.
• Maintain relationships with service providers such as Mowasalat/Karwa, ensuring quality and availability of taxi and charter‑bus services.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing landside or ground‑transport operations at an airport or large transport hub.
• Strong strategic planning abilities and familiarity with national transport policies.
• Experience working with government ministries and large‑scale infrastructure projects.
• Ability to develop and enforce SOPs and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
• Track record of delivering solutions for parking, public‑transport integration, and traffic management during high‑volume events.
