Managing Director – Mega-Scale Construction Projects

About the role

The Managing Director will provide strategic leadership and overall operational responsibility for delivering mega‑scale, multi‑billion‑dollar construction and infrastructure projects. Reporting to the executive board, the role oversees business growth, project execution, financial performance and stakeholder relationships across a complex portfolio of developments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives.
• Lead project delivery teams to ensure schedule, budget, quality, safety and client satisfaction targets are met.
• Direct engineering, construction, commercial, procurement, project controls, HSE and QA/QC functions.
• Maintain full accountability for financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Negotiate major contracts, manage claims and implement risk mitigation strategies.
• Represent the company with clients, consultants, government authorities, investors and strategic partners.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, legal, regulatory and governance requirements.
• Build and mentor high‑performing leadership teams and drive succession planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field relevant to construction, engineering or business).
• Extensive executive experience leading large‑scale civil construction projects such as mixed‑use developments, high‑rise towers, hotels, infrastructure and island construction.
• Proven track record of delivering multi‑billion‑dollar projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities at executive level.
