About the role
The Master Paint Technician prepares and finishes automotive surfaces, ensuring high‑quality workmanship and compliance with manufacturer specifications. The role focuses on problem‑solving, safety, and efficient use of painting tools and technology.
Key responsibilities
- Apply body filler, sand, and prime surfaces before painting.
- Apply paint according to manufacturer repair standards and perform machine compounding and polishing.
- Maintain repair quality, review repeat‑repair reports, and implement safety practices.
- Keep tools and work area clean, participate in safety discussions, and report incidents.
Required profile
- 2‑3 years of experience in an automotive paint shop.
- High school diploma and ITI course in Automobile Engineering (car body painting and refinishing).
- Ability to follow manufacturer guidelines and operational procedures.
Required skills
- Knowledge of paint mixing technology and application methods.
- Proficiency with sanding, painting tools, and equipment.
- Experience using compounding and polishing machines.
- Strong adherence to safety and quality standards.
