Material Expeditor - Doha / Ras Laffan

About the role

Dolphin Energy is looking for a Material Expeditor based in Doha / Ras Laffan. The role supports the Customs and Logistics Supervisor and covers documentation, import regulations, duty exemptions and coordination with customs authorities, clearing contractors and transport companies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to all relevant parties on documentation, import regulations and duty exemptions.
• Ensure all required documentation and certificates are prepared so shipments can be cleared and entered on time.
• Coordinate logistics requirements with procurement planning and choose the most cost-effective logistics methods.
• Follow up regularly with government authorities on applications until formalities are completed.
• Coordinate with clearing contractors and customs officials for quick release and clearance of goods.
• Liaise with transport companies to ensure smooth logistics and timely delivery of cleared shipments.
• Build relationships with customs officials, government authorities, clearing contractors and transport companies.
• Update the Customs and Logistics Supervisor on shipment clearance status and highlight issues.
• Develop reports on accepted and rejected goods in line with government guidelines.
• Ensure defined standards and procedures are followed when receiving and shipping materials, and perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in customs coordination in the oil and gas industry, preferably in the Middle East.
• Knowledge of local customs rules and regulations.
