Materials Inspector

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Materials Inspector to support site supervision on construction projects in Qatar. The role involves inspecting ongoing activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols, and reporting any issues to the supervisory team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Monitor daily site progress and report deviations to the Senior Works Inspector or Resident Engineer.
• Verify that construction materials and workmanship meet project requirements.
• Review and verify material deliveries and storage for compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors and site personnel to address technical or quality‑related issues.
• Prepare and maintain inspection records, daily reports, and required documentation.
• Report safety violations and work with the HSE team for prompt resolution.
• Support resolution of non‑conformances and conduct follow‑up inspections after corrective actions.
• Participate in site meetings and inspections with consultants, contractors, and client representatives.

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction inspection or supervision, preferably on infrastructure or civil projects.
• At least 3 years of experience in a consultancy environment.
• Experience on large‑scale infrastructure or public works projects such as roads, utilities, or drainage systems.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive problem‑solving.
• Effective written and spoken English communication skills.
