Mechanic

About the role

The Mechanic is responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of all mechanical equipment and systems within the Four Seasons Resort and Residences at The Pearl-Qatar. You will ensure smooth operation of hotel facilities, responding promptly to breakdowns and maintenance requests.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of hotel mechanical equipment and systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain pumps, motors, generators, kitchen and laundry equipment, and other mechanical machinery.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and mechanical breakdowns throughout the hotel.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential faults and prevent equipment failures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts in good working condition.
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with hotel standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report major faults to the Engineering Supervisor.

Required profile

• Technical qualification or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Mechanic, preferably in a hotel, resort, or commercial property.
• Good knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, motors, machinery, and basic HVAC equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical faults and carry out repairs effectively.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance and workplace safety procedures.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Good communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is an asset.
