Mechanical Junior Supervisor

About the role

The Mechanical Junior Supervisor will perform detailed maintenance, inspection and supervision on the Typhoon aircraft and its components. The role requires strong technical knowledge, the ability to diagnose faults and to lead a team in a dynamic operational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake detailed maintenance, inspection and supervision activities on the Typhoon aircraft and components, ensuring compliance with approved technical data.
• Resolve faults and maintenance issues, manage configuration changes and raise ad‑hoc work cards for found faults.
• Supervise personnel, verify competence and authorisations, and ensure work is completed on schedule.
• Maintain personal task authorisations, log‑book entries and, if qualified, approve competency and licence applications.
• Support facility compliance tasks such as oversight checks, tooling control and adherence to Functionally Mandated Procedures.

Required profile

• Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent aeronautical engineering qualification (City & Guilds 2675/2661 or similar).
• Minimum of 2 years experience at technician level in aircraft mechanical maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop team members, including conducting performance reviews and training requests.
• Current log‑book showing currency and recency on the Typhoon platform.
• Compliance with safety, SHE policies and relevant aviation standards.
