Mechanical Senior Supervisor

About the role

The Mechanical Senior Supervisor will lead a team of skilled technicians performing detailed maintenance on the Typhoon aircraft and its components. The role requires deep knowledge of approved technical data, fault diagnosis, and the ability to supervise work in line with regulatory frameworks.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and diagnose faults on aircraft systems, equipment and assemblies, following established diagnostic procedures.
• Supervise and guide less‑experienced team members during maintenance, inspection, and modification tasks.
• Ensure all work is performed to the work package specifications using approved technical information.
• Manage fault evaluation, raise ad‑hoc work cards, and oversee configuration management.
• Maintain personal task authorisations, log‑books and ensure compliance with risk assessments and SHE policies.

Required profile

• Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship (City & Guilds 2675/2661) or equivalent military qualification in Aeronautical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a technician on aircraft, with demonstrated leadership capability.
• Current log‑book showing currency and recency on the Typhoon platform.
• Knowledge of aviation safety standards, Expositions, Functionally Mandated Procedures and PT‑145 licensing processes.
