Mechanical Technician

About the role

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, supporting the maintenance team, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the Facilities Management and Maintenance department.

Key responsibilities

• Perform assigned preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks accurately and on schedule.
• Execute corrective maintenance tasks promptly and ensure high-quality workmanship.
• Assist subcontractors with their assigned work.
• Report defects, breakdowns, and spare‑part requirements to the Fault Reporting Center or engineering team.
• Maintain tools, test equipment and follow duty rosters.
• Follow company HSEQ standards and client regulations.
• Escalate equipment or tool shortages to the line manager.

Required profile

• Possess an ITI Certificate or equivalent diploma.
• Knowledge of safety regulations such as OSHA, MSDS, NFPA and BS standards.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Team‑oriented attitude.
• Commitment to personal hygiene, dress code and professional behavior.
