Mechanical Training Instructor – Aircraft Maintenance

About the role

The Mechanical Training Instructor is responsible for delivering both theoretical and practical aircraft maintenance training at the Qatar Typhoon Training Facility. The role combines curriculum leadership, supervision of training staff, and hands‑on involvement to ensure high‑quality instruction and safe training environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical maintenance curriculum and act as subject‑matter expert for the training program.
• Supervise and mentor Training Instructors, allocating duties and ensuring courses are fully staffed.
• Prepare and deliver training sessions in line with the authorised syllabus and the Training Management Information System (TMIS) schedule.
• Oversee examination invigilation, marking, and continuous assessment of trainee progress.
• Coordinate aircraft, equipment, and training aids required for each course.
• Enforce the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and safety procedures during practical sessions.
• Conduct pre‑use equipment checks and maintain accurate training records.
• Report trainee absences and maintain discipline throughout training periods.
• Monitor instructional quality and contribute to continuous improvement of training materials.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aircraft mechanical maintenance or related technical field.
• Strong background in training delivery, curriculum development, or instructional supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple instructors and coordinate complex training schedules.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a focus on safety and compliance.

Required skills

• Training Management Information System (TMIS) proficiency.
• Knowledge of aircraft maintenance procedures and safety standards.
• Experience with personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.
