MHS Project Manager

About the role

The MHS Project Manager / Senior Manager will lead the design, construction, testing, commissioning and operational readiness of the Material Handling System for a major international airport. The role requires senior‑level leadership across contractors, stakeholders and end‑users to deliver the system safely, on schedule and to quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee design, technical submissions, procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of the MHS.
• Manage contractor performance, ensuring compliance with designs, contracts, HSE and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with airport operators, authorities and other disciplines to integrate MHS with baggage handling, ICT, security and building services.
• Lead Testing & Commissioning and ORAT activities to achieve operational readiness before airport opening.
• Monitor programme progress, identify risks, resolve interface issues and provide regular management reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience on large‑scale construction projects.
• At least 10 years of middle/senior management experience on international airport projects.
• Proven experience managing Material Handling System projects in major airports.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
