Multi-Property Learning & Development Manager

About the role

The Multi-Property Learning & Development Manager helps drive company values and philosophy and ensures that all training and development activities are linked to the organization's mission and vision. Working with the property leadership team, the role identifies employee and organizational development needs and makes sure effective training is in place to deliver business results. Training covers product knowledge, company philosophy, customer service and leadership skills. The position is based at a property in Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments, design and develop training programs and facilitate custom and corporate training.
• Promote training programs to employees, help them identify behaviors that lead to service excellence and provide ongoing training on guest expectations.
• Observe service behavior, give feedback and meet regularly with the training cadre.
• Monitor enrollment and attendance, partner with operational leaders to check technical and leadership skills, and review guest satisfaction data to measure transfer of learning.
• Develop training plans and budgets, align programs to business indicators and incorporate guest satisfaction into departmental meetings.
• Manage the training budget and departmental expenses, using a P-card when appropriate.

Required profile

• Either a 2-year degree in Human Resources, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related major with 2 years of HR or related experience, or a 4-year bachelor's degree in a similar field with no experience required.
• Certified trainer.
