Munitions Operations Technician

About the role

The Munitions Operations Technician is responsible for maintaining accurate accountability and inventory of munitions, ensuring compliance with Air Force regulations and quality standards. Working in a warehouse or maintenance environment, the technician uses specialized systems to track, inspect, and manage munitions stock.

Key responsibilities

• Perform munitions accountability, inventory, and historical record actions in accordance with AFMAN 21‑200, DAFMAN 21‑201 and related technical data.
• Operate and monitor the Theater Integrated Combat Munitions System (TICMS), report discrepancies, and assist personnel with training.
• Conduct daily connectivity checks to TICMS and resolve system issues promptly.
• Execute warehouse inventories, reconcile ADR files, and report discrepancies to the Superintendent.
• Monitor shelf life, develop inspection schedules, and initiate disposition actions for expiring assets.
• Track munitions shipments using the Integrated Data Environment (IDE) Global Transportation Network (GTN) Convergence.
• Support mission requirements through standby duties, entry‑controller tasks, and compliance with safety and security standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Intermediate knowledge of USAF Supply and Tech Order systems or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Ability to operate material handling equipment and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to work onsite in a warehouse or outdoor environment and to stand by as needed.
