MYP Business Teacher

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is recruiting a MYP Business teacher for Etqan Global Academy (EGA), a newly established IB World School in Doha, Qatar, which offers the IB Middle Years Programme. The teacher will inspire students to become confident, critical readers, writers and communicators within the IB MYP framework.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver concept-driven Language & Literature lessons aligned with the IB MYP curriculum and global contexts
• Design inquiry-based learning experiences that develop reading, writing, critical thinking and communication skills
• Assess student work using MYP Business Studies criteria and give constructive feedback
• Create units of inquiry on language, literature, global contexts and intercultural perspectives
• Embed ATL skills and a love of reading and language in all teaching
• Support students' preparation for MYP eAssessment in Business Studies
• Fulfil Form Tutor responsibilities and contribute to the pastoral life of the school
• Contribute positively to the English department and the wider school community

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed or equivalent) and a degree in English, Language & Literature or a related subject
• Proven experience teaching Language & Literature or English in an IB MYP school
• Strong knowledge of the MYP Language & Literature curriculum, assessment criteria and eAssessment
• Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
• IB MYP workshop training in Language & Literature desirable; international school experience desirable
