NDT Level III Technician – Offshore Jacket Structures

About the role

The NDT Level III Technician will lead non‑destructive testing inspections on offshore jacket structures, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project specifications and safety regulations. This senior position requires expert knowledge of multiple NDT methods and the ability to mentor junior staff while delivering high‑quality inspection results.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and supervise MPI, PT, UT and RT inspections on offshore jacket structures.
• Interpret inspection results according to ASNT Level III standards and project specifications.
• Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, defects and corrective recommendations.
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols, ASME, API, DNV codes and client requirements.
• Calibrate and maintain NDT equipment to ensure accurate test results.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Level I and Level II technicians.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and project management to meet inspection schedules.
• Report non‑conformances to the Site Supervisor/Project Manager and keep accurate records of inspections and equipment calibrations.
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks and risk assessments.

Required profile

• ASNT Level III certification in MPI, PT, UT and RT.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on NDT experience, including at least 3 years on offshore jacket structures.
• Proven experience in offshore oil & gas environments.
• Strong knowledge of ASME, API and DNV standards.
• Valid offshore medical certificate; BOSIET/HUET preferred.
• Fluent English with excellent report‑writing skills.
