Network Security Engineer – Telecom (Doha)

About the role

We are seeking a Network Security Engineer with strong hands‑on experience in firewall and security operations within the telecom sector. The role will focus on managing network security infrastructure, SD‑WAN, customer protection, core network services, and cloud security for our clients in Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and operate Fortinet and Palo Alto firewalls, including rule creation, policy enforcement, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting and incident remediation.
• Administer FortiGate, FortiAuthenticator, FortiMail, FortiWeb and support Fortinet/Huawei SD‑WAN routing, traffic steering, application prioritisation and hybrid‑cloud integration.
• Maintain core services such as DNS, proxy, authentication and mail relay, ensuring high availability and security.
• Support F5 load‑balancing and application delivery infrastructure.
• Implement and manage Azure network security components including Azure Firewall, NSGs, VNets, Application Gateway/WAF, Load Balancer and DNS.
• Perform health checks, monitoring, capacity planning and incident management across the security stack.
• Coordinate with NOC/SOC, network, cloud and IT teams to resolve incidents and maintain service continuity.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of relevant network security operations experience, preferably in the telecom domain.
• Hands‑on experience with FortiGate, FortiAuthenticator, FortiMail, FortiWeb, Fortinet/Huawei SD‑WAN and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE 4‑7, Azure AZ‑104, AZ‑500 or AZ‑700.
