Occupational Health Coordinator

About the role

The Occupational Health Coordinator is responsible for delivering comprehensive occupational health services to employees and contractors at Oryx GTL sites in Doha and Ras Laffan. The role ensures the physical, mental and social wellbeing of the workforce while complying with Qatar Labour Law, HSE regulations and international best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Implement daily OH operational programs in line with quality standards and HSE health section scope.
• Manage Fitness‑to‑Work and health surveillance processes, including pre‑employment, periodic, job transfer, return‑to‑work, promotion, extension and exit medicals.
• Coordinate with private and QP occupational health physicians to resolve health issues.
• Lead occupational health promotion and protection initiatives within defined timeframes.
• Support investigation, follow‑up and case management of occupational injuries and illnesses.
• Determine work‑relatedness of incidents and classify them according to OSHA guidelines.
• Oversee ill‑health programs, including return‑to‑work, rehabilitation and sick‑leave management.
• Collaborate with the Industrial Hygiene Coordinator to develop medical surveillance based on exposure risks.
• Participate in joint HSE programs such as food hygiene, heat stress, hearing conservation, ergonomics, respiratory protection and industrial hygiene inspections.
• Conduct health assessments for personnel entering confined spaces.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Licensed to practice by the Supreme Council of Health in Qatar.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in occupational health management.
