Operation Technician

About the role

The Operation Technician will operate the power plant in a controlled and safe manner, following established procedures and ensuring reliable power supply.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 shift cover according to the shift rota.
• Provide standby cover as planned.
• Monitor plant parameters and trends, taking corrective actions before reliability is affected.
• Raise clear defect notifications when required.
• Conduct regular operations testing and report findings.
• Perform routine plant inspection rounds and follow‑up on observations.
• Assist in optimizing the use of operational consumables.
• Stay familiar with standard operating procedures, especially for crisis management.
• Comply with all emergency and crisis procedures.
• Assist in reviewing and updating emergency procedures after incidents.
• Perform other related duties as directed by the superior.

Required profile

• Diploma or Trade Certificate in a relevant field.
• 4–6 years of operations experience in a power plant.
• Ability to work under the Bachelor status condition.
• Proactive attitude and ability to drive change.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Good documentation and archiving practices.

Required skills

• Safe System of Work for diverse plant systems.
• Power plant operation, preferably with combined‑cycle technology.
• Technical assessment of specific plant technologies.
• Logical problem solving under time constraints.
• Competent use of computers for reporting and monitoring.
