Part-time Remote PhD Peer Reviewer – Oral Medicine

About the role

This position offers a long‑term, part‑time remote opportunity for a qualified researcher to serve as a peer reviewer for manuscripts in Oral Medicine. The role supports a scholarly journal by ensuring the scientific quality and integrity of submitted papers.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty of each manuscript and determine its contribution to the field.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility of the research.
• Verify that the literature review is comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyse results and conclusions for clarity, relevance, and statistical soundness.
• Provide constructive, written feedback highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and any ethical concerns.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewable publications in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
