Part‑time Academic Peer Reviewer – Industrial Engineering (PhD)

About the role

This is a long‑term, stable part‑time position that can be performed remotely. The role involves providing expert peer‑review services for manuscripts in the field of Industrial Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty of submitted manuscripts and determine their contribution to the discipline.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility of the research.
• Check the literature review for completeness and relevance.
• Analyse results and conclusions to ensure they are clearly presented and supported by data.
• Provide constructive, clear, and concise feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
• At least five peer‑reviewed papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies, ethical standards, and academic publishing practices.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, manage time effectively, and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
