Part‑time Peer Reviewer – Environmental Engineering (PhD)

About the role

We are seeking experienced researchers with a PhD in environmental engineering or a related field to join our editorial team as part‑time peer reviewers. This long‑term, stable position is fully remote and allows you to contribute to the scientific community while managing your own schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty of submitted manuscripts and determine their contribution to the field.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyse results and conclusions for clarity, accuracy, and significance.
• Provide constructive, written feedback highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and any ethical concerns.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in environmental engineering or a closely related discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the last three years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and remain objective.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review platforms.
