Planning Engineer

About the role

QD‑SBG is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join its road‑construction team in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring and updating project schedules for large‑scale road projects, ensuring alignment with contractual commitments and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and control detailed construction schedules using industry‑standard methodologies.
• Coordinate with main contractors, subcontractors and internal disciplines to collect progress data and update the master plan.
• Analyse schedule variances, identify critical path activities and propose corrective actions.
• Produce regular schedule reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
• Support the preparation of time‑related claims and extensions of time.

Required profile

• 6 to 11 years of experience in planning for road construction projects.
• Engineering degree (civil or related) and UP certification.
• Proven experience working with main contractors on road projects.
• Immediate availability preferred; transferable visa with NOC is an advantage.

Required skills

• Construction scheduling and project planning.
• Use of scheduling software and techniques.
• Understanding of road construction processes.
