Plant Operator – Chiller Systems

About the role

The Plant Operator will join a leading engineering and facilities maintenance team in the GCC, ensuring reliable and efficient operation of chiller plants across large commercial, industrial and institutional facilities. This hands‑on position focuses on maintaining optimal cooling performance, minimizing downtime and supporting critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor chiller plant equipment daily.
• Conduct routine inspections to verify system integrity and performance.
• Identify and resolve electrical and electronic faults in chiller systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to reduce equipment downtime.
• Monitor chilled water systems, pumps, motors, cooling towers and control panels.
• Accurately record operational data and maintenance activities.
• Respond promptly to equipment issues and support troubleshooting efforts.
• Ensure all tasks comply with safety regulations and company procedures.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams and supervisors to uphold operational excellence.

Required profile

• ITI or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronics, HVAC, Refrigeration or a related technical field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in chiller plant operations and maintenance.
• Proven experience in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, hotels, hospitals, airports, shopping malls or large infrastructure projects.
• GCC experience preferred but not mandatory.
