Primary Class Teacher – International School

About the role

Compass International School Doha is seeking an enthusiastic Primary Class Teacher to join its vibrant British‑curriculum community. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality, engaging lessons to pupils aged 3‑11 and fostering a respectful, inquiry‑driven classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess lessons aligned with the school’s Primary curriculum.
• Create a safe, inclusive atmosphere that encourages student participation and curiosity.
• Use questioning and discussion techniques to deepen understanding.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress.

Required profile

• University degree and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
• Ideally two years of experience teaching in an international primary setting.
• Reflective practitioner committed to continuous professional development.
• Ability to meet Qatar visa and qualification requirements.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the British primary curriculum.
• Effective classroom management and assessment techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
