Primary Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to inspire and support pupils in a safe, stimulating classroom environment. The successful candidate will set high expectations, foster a love of learning, and guide children of diverse backgrounds and abilities toward academic success.

Key responsibilities

• Establish a respectful, safe learning environment and set challenging yet achievable goals for all pupils.
• Plan, deliver and reflect on well‑structured lessons that build on pupils’ prior knowledge.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of learners with special educational needs, high ability, English as an additional language, or disabilities.
• Use formative and summative assessment data to monitor progress and inform teaching strategies.
• Promote high standards of literacy, articulacy and correct use of standard English across subjects.
• Contribute to curriculum design, scheme of work development and departmental resources.
• Encourage pupils to take responsibility for their own learning and reflect on their progress.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and subject content.
• Understanding of child development and the ability to adapt teaching to various stages.
• Commitment to inclusive education and experience supporting diverse learner groups.
• Ability to reflect on teaching practice and continuously improve.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
