About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking an enthusiastic Primary Years Programme (PYP) Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy in Doha. The successful candidate will deliver transdisciplinary inquiry‑based learning and help shape a vibrant, inclusive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality transdisciplinary units of inquiry aligned with the IB PYP framework.
• Create an engaging, student‑centred classroom that fosters curiosity, agency and a love of learning.
• Use formative and summative assessment strategies to monitor and support student progress.
• Collaborate with grade‑level and specialist colleagues to plan, reflect on and review units of inquiry.
• Embed the IB learner profile, PYP attitudes and the five essential elements throughout teaching and learning.
• Promote student agency, voice and international‑mindedness across school life.
• Build strong partnerships with parents and involve them meaningfully in their child’s learning journey.
• Contribute to school events, CPD activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching in an IB PYP school.
• Strong knowledge of the PYP curriculum framework, units of inquiry and transdisciplinary learning.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to reflective practice, continuous professional development and safeguarding.
• IB PYP workshop training and international school experience are desirable.
