Process Automation Engineering Intern (Doha)

About the role

Join Siemens Digital Industries in Doha as a Process Automation Engineering Intern. You will support both internal and external customers by contributing to automation projects and gaining hands‑on experience with PLC programming and system testing.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers and Lead Automation Engineers on project tasks.
• Prepare and support project documentation such as IO lists, BOM, FDS, control philosophy and method statements.
• Develop, test and troubleshoot PLC programs using automation software.
• Assist in software and hardware testing, quality assurance processes and as‑built documentation.
• Supervise PLC program installation and provide guidance to technicians.
• Support customer workshops, meetings, events and presentations as needed.

Required profile

• Fresh graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical, Industrial or Automation Engineering or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of PLC programming languages (ladder logic, sequential function charts).
• Ability to work independently, solve problems with guidance and adapt to a multicultural environment.
• Strong oral and written communication, organizational and time‑management skills.
